Additional Classroom

Thanks to the assistance of patrons around the world we have successfully built a K-8 school for the children in Guinaudée.  Students can now learn in a safe and comfortable environment that is conducive to their education. The news of this success has traveled throughout the region and has led to a growth in enrollment. We are committed to the education of all children in this region and are working to build additional classrooms to accommodate this increase. We are hoping to complete the additional classrooms by January 2020. Your contribution to this project will help us to realize our goal and assist in the education of underprivileged children in this region.

Water Project

In July 2018, we began building a water irrigation system that would provide clean water to families in Guinaudée and reduce community members from walking four miles to the nearest well. We currently have a pump that funnels water from the nearest river to the top of this mountainous area. Unfortunately, due to lack of financial support, this project is currently on hiatus. Your contribution to this project will go to buying a stronger pump, better funnels, and to pay local workers to cover the tunnel safely underground. Our projected date of completion is March 2020. Your contribution to this project will provide clean water for essential things such as bathing, drinking, and cooking.

Cafeteria Building

Our wonderful students do not have a clean and isolated location to eat meals. A cafeteria will allow them to eat in a sterile environment while also allowing us to provide meals for those in need. We enjoy certain privileges in our country that our students only imagine. Your contributions will go towards building an additional area for the cafeteria, lunch tables, and a kitchen area to provide meals for students who only one meal a day.

School Toilets

Our school currently does not have proper restrooms for our students. Imagine your child, or any child, having to use an outhouse or other means to alleviate themselves. This imagination is a reality for our students and staff. Their current situation to alleviate themselves has made this project one our immediate and most necessary projects. Our staff and children need restrooms that will not take time from their instruction and education. Your contribution to this project will go towards building facilities with sinks to wash their hands and toilets they can use to reduce the amount of time away from the classroom and a sanitary environment for all our students.
